Daniel Antee, DDS

After visiting Lufkin, Megan and I knew we had found the place we wanted to live and work. We love the small-town feel and how welcoming everyone is. It has also been an honor to continue the great care that Dr.’s Self, Grubb, and Patterson had been providing patients for the past 30+ years.

I was born and raised close by, in Shreveport, Louisiana. I graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Biology from Centenary College of Louisiana. From there I went on to attend LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans and obtained my doctorate in 2014. I am an active member of the ADA (American Dental Association), AGD (Academy of General Dentistry), TDA, (Texas Dental Association), and the Pineywoods Study Club. I’m also an Invisalign provider and excited that I received my Invisalign Silver Provider status earlier this year.

I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, but the most rewarding thing I do are smile makeovers and cosmetic cases. Seeing firsthand the difference a new smile can make in someone’s life is why I wanted to be a dentist in the first place. It amazes me how many people have purposely avoided smiling for years. Those are the people that are the most satisfying to work with!

Megan Tanner, DDS

I feel very honored to practice at the Dental Center of Lufkin. The staff and patients make going to work enjoyable every day! Everyone is always smiling and friendly. I love coming into an office that has such a relaxed atmosphere. I believe that you will feel at home during your visit!

I was born and raised in Greenville, Texas. I received my bachelor’s degree at LSU where I majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Business. Immediately after graduating from LSU I attended LSU School of Dentistry and received my doctorate. I am a member of the ADA, TDA, Piney Woods Study Club, and AGD.

I think that my patients can see that I care very much about them as a person as well as their overall experience at the dentist. I try to connect with all my patients and make them feel as relaxed as possible. I want my patients to know that I am here to listen to all of their needs and help them in any way possible.

My husband (Dr. Antee) and I have been married for 2 years and we have a Maltipoo named Tucker who is just like our son! When not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, doing jigsaw puzzles, and my husband and I love to try new restaurants.
